Kings Canyon

In early 2018, Ant Construction were awarded the contract to commence the annual rim walk oiling and timber replacement project at Kings Canyon Rim Walk, located within the Watarrka National Park.

The project consisted of oiling all timber staircases, walkways and bridges. The replacement of required timber staircase treads and planks and re-securing serval loose timber and handrails. Carrying out inspection of all structures to ensure safe and secure for public use.                

The rim walk was open for public use whilst all works were being undertaken, therefore works were cautiously planned with the public’s safety in mind, at all times throughout.

The project was completed to the client satisfactory. Being an annual project, Ant Construction have just recently been awarded the contract again with 2019 currently underway.
